After being given the subject of -fitness, I discovered how many technologies and apps exist already, that find ways to help monitor food and exercise. After researching, one of the biggest problems I found was motivation and self encouragement was one of the biggest weaknesses of the apps. People found it too easy to give up on their personal targets. I believed this is one of the main problems that need solving. Through a personal trainer app I believe people would be encourage to try harder to hit targets. A similar app I found was ” Runtastic Pro”.
My idea would be to expand on the app through, food, exercise routes and specific workouts. As well as regular, encouraging feedback, much like a personal trainer. I would research heavily into what psychology techniques are used by personal trainers as I believe that may be the key to a more effective personal trainer app.
The app would; Track progress, set specific, measurable, attainable and time-limited goals, regular changes in workout styles. It would adapt to fit with each person individually.
